Job Title: Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Contract Technical Writer to develop and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for our business operations. This contract position requires a professional who can collaborate effectively with various teams to produce clear and comprehensive documentation that aligns with industry standards and best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to gather detailed information about business processes and workflows.
• Develop, write, and maintain SOPs that accurately reflect operational processes and comply with regulatory requirements.
• Translate complex technical information into clear and concise documents suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Review and revise existing SOPs to ensure they are current and effective.
• Ensure all documentation meets organizational standards for quality, clarity, and consistency.
• Work closely with compliance teams and legally incorporate feedback and ensure SOPs meet all necessary guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a technical writer, preferably with a focus on creating SOPs or similar documentation.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Ability to understand and document complex business processes.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality documentation.
• Proficiency in using documentation tools and software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
• Familiarity with rental industry standards and best practices related to SOP development and documentation and a benefit but not a requirement.

The hourly pay rate range for this position is $25.00 to $50.00/hr (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location). Benefits available to full-time employees: medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401k and commuter benefits.
